Project GRS Renault Clio and Toyota GR86 racing together on a street circuit

iRacing PCC & PEC

Production cars.
Proper racing.

Project GRS started in iRacing's Production Car Challenge, and PCC is still home. Most of us race the Toyota GR86 and the Renault Clio. Gilles, one of the founders, has won eleven PCC seasons. The rest of us are working on it. When 25 minutes isn't enough, we take the same cars to two hours in PEC.

The PCC cars

Four cars. One paddock.

Three Project GRS Toyota GR86s racing nose to tail

Toyota GR86

Where most of GRS lives. Rear-wheel drive, honest, and very good at telling you exactly which corner you overdrove.

Five Project GRS Renault Clios racing together in the new multicolour liveries

Renault Clio

Front-wheel drive and the other half of the team. Clio loyalty is a real thing here. So are the kerbs.

Project GRS BMW M2 racing in the new purple livery

BMW M2

The BMW of the production field. Ask a team-mate for a setup before you yeet it into Turn 1.

Project GRS Mazda MX-5, car 5, in the green and black GRS livery with Simagic on the bonnet

Mazda MX-5

Light, tidy and all about carrying speed. A GRS-run MX-5 won its class at the Melons 24h.

How GRS races PCC

Serious about racing.
Less serious about ourselves.

  1. 01

    Race with team-mates

Someone from GRS is in a PCC session most days. Check the Discord, join the same split, and you will recognise the cars around you.

  2. 02

    Share a setup

Wing, brake bias, tyre pressures. Answers range from detailed corner-by-corner analysis to “yeet it in and hope for the best”. Both have won races.

  3. 03

    Find a few tenths

Post a lap, compare telemetry, ask why you lose time in sector two. Drivers regularly climb from 2,000 to 4,000 iRating racing with their mates.

  4. 04

    Celebrate the milestones

New licence, new iRating high, first win. It gets noticed in the Discord, and so does the lap where it all went wrong.

A week in PCC

Clean laps, pit stops, doughnuts, and the occasional disagreement over who owned the apex.

PCC season schedule

Where we race this week

Twelve weeks, a new track every Tuesday, 25-minute races. Find a GRS car in your split and say hello. Preferably not with your front bumper.

PEC: the Production Endurance Challenge

Same cars. Two hours.

PEC takes the production cars for two hours, solo or as a two-driver team. GRS tries to have cars in every weekend race. Two hours brings fuel, tyres and, for the pairs, a driver swap, and the team-mates who help with your PCC setup will help you plan those too.

Racing PEC with GRS

  1. 01

Find a co-driver. Ask in the Discord. Someone usually fancies two hours in a GR86 or a Clio.

  2. 02

Plan the stints. Fuel, tyres and when to swap. Endurance strategy is a team sport, even at two hours.

  3. 03

Share the setup. The same people who help you in PCC will help you find a setup that lasts a whole stint.

It works at 24 hours as well. At the Melons 24h GRS teams won the GR86 and MX-5 classes and took P3 in the Clio class: a podium in every class.

Next on the calendar for the production cars: THE Production Car Challenge @ VIR, with every PCC class on track at once.

PCC questions

What is PCC on iRacing?
PCC is iRacing's Production Car Challenge, a mixed-class series for production-based cars with 25-minute races. Each class races only against its own class, but the grid is set by qualifying across all of them. It is where Project GRS started and where most of the team races.
Which PCC car should I start in?
Whichever one you enjoy driving. If you want team-mates and setups from day one, most of GRS races the GR86 and the Clio, so that is where you will find the most help.
What is PEC on iRacing?
PEC is iRacing's Production Endurance Challenge: the same production cars as PCC, in two-hour races, driven solo or as a two-driver team. Project GRS tries to have cars in every weekend race.
Can I find a PEC co-driver at GRS?
Yes. Ask in the GRS Discord: GRS aims to have cars in every weekend PEC race, so there is usually someone looking for a team-mate for two hours.
How do I race PCC with Project GRS?
Request an invite to the GRS Discord and set your nickname to your iRacing name. Then join a PCC session when team-mates are racing. You will find them in the Discord.

Come race with us. We'll see you on track.
